Protest the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ridiculous Map Pack PriceThis petition is addressed to Activision
Eligible Signatories: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Players
The recent anouncement for the "Stimulus Package", the first Map Pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 left a lot of us - the customers speechless.
Robert Bowling revealed that the five maps - two of which are old maps being re-released for this game - will cost 1200 Microsoft Points.
1200 Microsoft Points are equal to $15 / £10 / €14 / AUD$19
We, the costumers feel that this price is too high and in no way adequate to the content we get.
In addition other comparable first person shooter games release map packs for free all the time. Games such as Left4Dead have added new maps to both the first and second edition of their game at no additional charge, plus the large community of free maps that you can download. The new COD map pack exploitation by Activision is outrageous! It forces the hands of its players to put out an additional 25% after having paid for the game just for a couple lousy maps! It forces us to upgrade if we want to play on servers that have upgraded to the new maps, and is a downright dirty trick by the COD: Modern Warfare 2 team.
